Property Maintenance
Maintenance of the land calls for equipment, tools, rolls of duct tape and good shade hats. While shade hats and duct tape are readily available, we often need tools and equipment. Land Steward Ken Poerner, Field Steward Nick Meckler and our dedicated volunteers need the following items in good working condition:
- A high-quality, heavy-duty brush chipper
- A heavy-duty ride-on lawn mower
- Air compressor
- Gas welder
- Dump trailer
Administration
Protection of agricultural lands and open space starts inside the Solano Land Trust offices. While staff’s hearts are outside with the land, much of their time is spent in the office where they could use:
- A laser color printer with scanner/fax capability
- Full-size electric refrigerator, maximum width 33 inches.
- Two 17-inch Dell flat screen monitors
- Two Dell Optiplex 170L hard drives (or similar) and two Dell keyboards
