Part-time Volunteer & Education Coordinator

Solano Land Trust is looking for a passionate, outgoing and organized individual to serve as a part time Volunteer and Education Coordinator. This exciting position builds and maintains partnerships in environmental education and offers a wonderful opportunity to support over 300 skilled and dedicated volunteers that are the life blood of Solano Land Trust.

The Volunteer and Education Coordinator is responsible for developing, managing and promoting public access programs at the Lynch Canyon Open Space and on other lands owned by Solano Land Trust. This is an established volunteer program that recruits and trains volunteers, liaisons with user groups, and works with the community to organize, schedule and publicize a wide range of events and activities in recreation and environmental education. The coordinator works closely with Solano County park staff, other nonprofits, and schools in developing and implementing a wide range of interactive educational and recreational programs. Strong written and oral communication skills are critical. Please see attached job description for more information.

This job is half time with the potential for full time work starting in June 2010. Pay is based on experience and ranges from $20,000 to $28,750 for half time work.
