A river of wine runs through it: Local winery supports Jepson Prairie

Date: Dec 01, 2010

Solano Land Trust has formed a partnership with King Andrews Vineyard that allows Roger King to support Solano Land Trust while helping to improve one of his favorite places, Jepson Prairie. King has generously agreed to give Solano Land Trust a portion of the proceeds from each bottle of wine sold at the Suisun Valley Wine Cooperative to be used for Jepson Prairie improvements. At 1,557 acres, Jepson is one of California’s premier vernal pool habitats.

"As a National Natural Landmark, Jepson Prairie is an experience in nature that deserves more visitor interface," said King. "By providing this specific donation, King Andrews Vineyards hopes to contribute to that enhancement over the long term." The winery also donated wine to the spring Farm Fresh Feast.

Solano Land Trust is able to do great work with the support of our community, business partners in conservation, and others who donate their time, money, and products to help us achieve our mission. Please contact Associate Director Deanna Mott at (707) 432-0150 x 205 if your business is interested in partnering with Solano Land Trust. Many thanks to Roger King and our other supporters in the business community!
